Quarter-turn fasteners for panel access.
A quarter-turn closure uses a matched fastening arrangement, not just a stud that fits the opening. Webson can quote the specified stud, receptacle and retaining hardware from full part numbers or an approved installation drawing.

| Component | What it does | What to specify |
|---|---|---|
| Studs and operating heads | Provide the selected actuation and reach. | Full series, head/drive, length code and material. |
| Receptacles | Receive the matching stud in the specified frame arrangement. | Exact mating series, mounting form and installation details. |
| Retainers and accessories | Keep or locate components as the system specifies. | Part numbers, panel fit and included quantities. |
| Hand- or tool-operated versions | Use the stated access and operating arrangement. | Head envelope, tool access and required opening clearance. |
Use the manufacturer’s grip definition
Grip or total material thickness can include the panel, frame and specified accessory items under the selected system’s definition. It is not safe to substitute a single panel-thickness measurement. Use the series instructions and complete installed stack.

| Feature | Information to send | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Grip or stack | The dimensions and included layers defined for the system. | Use the selected stud/receptacle selection method. |
| Panel preparation | Hole, cutout, thickness and retention features. | Match the exact installation drawing. |
| Frame and receptacle | Mounting geometry and location relative to the panel. | Check alignment and space for the fastening action. |
| Head and access | Actuation type, projection and operating clearance. | Include the service and panel-removal requirements. |
Preserve the system and finish requirements
Include the full manufacturer series and finish for each component, with any source restrictions. If replacing one part, identify the mating hardware that stays in the assembly. A change in stud or receptacle can change the required selection and installation.
Service covers and repeated access
Quarter-turn systems can provide the specified access arrangement for equipment panels and covers. Confirm whether components remain retained when the panel is opened and what must clear during removal. List all required parts on the inquiry.
Before you order
Is the stud length selected from panel thickness alone?
Use the selected system’s full grip or stack definition and mating receptacle data.
Are receptacles interchangeable between series?
Do not assume compatibility. Preserve the matched system or obtain approval for a complete change.
Is a quarter-turn fastener the same as any quick-access screw?
No. Different systems use different engagement and operating arrangements. Identify the actual series and mating hardware.
Quote the full panel fastening system
Send the stud, receptacle and accessory part numbers, quantities and delivery date. If numbers are unknown, include panel/frame drawings, the defined stack, operating style, material and documentation requirements.
