AS9120B
AS9120B is the quality-management standard written specifically for distributors in the aerospace supply chain. Manufacturers are certified to AS9100; distributors who buy, hold, split and resell aerospace hardware are certified to AS9120. The distinction matters, because the risks a distributor controls are different: chain of custody, lot integrity, record retention, and the prevention of counterfeit or unapproved parts entering a build.
Certification is audited by an accredited third party and maintained through recurring surveillance audits. It is not a self-declaration.
Every lot is tied back to the manufacturer it came from, with the certifications that accompanied it retained and reissuable on request.
Purchasing is restricted to approved sources, with inspection and documentation controls that keep suspect material out of the supply chain.
Incoming material is verified against the purchase order and the print before it is released to stock or to your order.

ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality-management systems. Where AS9120B governs the specifics of aerospace distribution, ISO 9001 governs how the business runs underneath it: how processes are defined, how risk is assessed, how performance is measured, and how problems are corrected so they do not recur.
The 2015 revision put the emphasis on risk-based thinking and on leadership accountability for quality outcomes. In practice it means the way an order is quoted, processed, inspected and shipped is a defined process rather than an individual's habit.
Order entry through shipment follows documented procedures, so results do not depend on who happens to be handling the job.
Manufacturers are approved, monitored and re-evaluated on quality and delivery performance rather than price alone.
Issues are logged with a root cause and a verified fix, and the fix is checked for effectiveness after the fact.
On-time delivery and quality metrics are tracked and reviewed by management, not reported only when asked.
