A slide has to fit the closed cabinet and provide the required access when extended. Webson can quote a full manufacturer designation or review a requirement that includes length, travel, mounting arrangement and the loaded assembly.

Keep closed length, travel and side space separate
A slide length does not state how far the drawer travels or how much space the mounting needs. Compare the actual model drawing to the cabinet and moving assembly. Check the full motion and any removal path.

Specify the environment and exact model
Include material or finish requirements, temperature and exposure conditions that apply. For replacement slides, provide the full model and length code, including any handed or paired components. Appearance and hole spacing alone may not identify the same travel or load arrangement.
Drawers, instruments and removable equipment
Slides can provide access to equipment that moves out of an enclosure for servicing. Tell us whether the assembly must disconnect, lock open or hold closed. Include brackets and other mounting accessories in the same quote request.
Before you order
Does the rating refer only to the contents?
Use the manufacturer’s load definition and include the moving drawer or chassis where required.
Can I mount a side-mount slide flat?
Only use an arrangement supported by the selected product’s data. A change in mounting orientation can change capacity.
Is full extension the same as disconnect?
No. Travel and removal are separate features. Identify both if the application needs them.

Include manufacturer and model, selected length, quantity and delivery date. Add travel, loaded weight, mounting orientation, available space, service features and required accessories.
