Custom fasteners for electronics.
Made-to-print spacers, standoffs, screws, studs and other hardware for electronic assemblies. Webson coordinates sourcing through qualified manufacturing partners when board spacing, enclosure geometry or another drawing requirement calls for a custom part.

Match the hardware to the assembly requirements
Small differences in installed height, thread engagement or head clearance can determine whether hardware fits an electronic assembly. Identify these features on the part drawing rather than relying on a short purchasing description.
| Assembly requirement | Custom hardware to review | Details to put on the drawing |
|---|---|---|
| PCB spacing and support | Spacers, male/female standoffs and threaded supports | Installed height; body diameter or across-flats; bore or thread; end configuration; mounting-hole constraints |
| Chassis and enclosure mounting | Custom screws, studs and shoulder fasteners | Panel thickness; grip or shoulder length; head and drive access; thread engagement; clearance envelope |
| Locating and alignment | Pins, stepped shafts and bushings | Mating diameters and fits; engagement length; feature locations; surface finish |
| Sleeves and stand-off distances | Bushings, sleeves and custom spacers | Inside/outside diameters; length tolerance; mating features; material and finish |
| Special thread interfaces | Threaded inserts and custom nuts | Internal/external threads; body size; installation method; mating material and available depth |
Specify material and finish by requirement
Webson can review components in stainless steel, carbon or alloy steel, brass, aluminum and other specified materials, including nonmetallic components where appropriate. Material and process availability depend on the individual part.
If the assembly requires electrical isolation, a conductive contact path, corrosion protection or a particular coating, state that requirement explicitly. Include any required finish thickness, masked areas, thread treatment or material documentation. An electronics application alone does not define those requirements.
What makes an electronics hardware RFQ useful
For the individual part
- Part number and current drawing revision
- Complete dimensions, threads and tolerances
- Material grade and specified finish
- Required inspection or certification documents
For the purchasing review
- Quantity now and expected repeat usage
- Requested delivery date
- Relevant mating-part or assembly details
- Whether an approved alternative may be proposed
Already have a standard part number? Start with electronic hardware or electronic assembly components. Use a custom drawing when the standard configuration does not meet the requirement.
Questions before you request a quote
Can you source custom spacers and standoffs for PCB assemblies?
Yes. Send a drawing showing the required spacing, body dimensions, material and thread or bore details. Identify any electrical, finish or documentation requirements with the RFQ.
Can custom hardware be quoted with standard electronic hardware?
Yes. Include standard manufacturer part numbers and drawings for custom items in the same bill of material. Webson can review both through one RFQ.
Does electronics-grade describe a specific material or certification?
The phrase alone does not define an acceptance requirement. Identify the actual material, finish, applicable specifications and any insulation, conductivity or documentation requirements on the drawing or purchase order.
Can a similar catalog standoff replace a custom part?
A matching length and thread do not establish an approved replacement. Compare the complete drawing requirements, including body size, material, finish and installed clearances. Identify whether an alternative is permitted when requesting a quote.
What should I send for a custom electronics fastener quote?
Send the current part drawing and revision, required quantity, requested delivery date, material, finish and required certifications. Add relevant mating-part details or assembly constraints. Email drawings to info@websonfasteners.com with your company name and part number.
Send the drawing and the requirements together
Start with the part number, drawing revision, quantity and requested delivery date. Include material, finish, critical tolerances and required certifications. For repeat orders, add annual usage and release quantities if known.
