Keep drive size separate from thread size
The internal hex or other drive accepts the installation tool. It does not define the thread diameter. Check the exact head and drive dimensions, then use the drawing’s length and thread-length conventions.

Preserve grade and finish on repeat orders
Include the complete strength or material designation with the finish and any required documentation. A screw offered in the same nominal size may use a different grade, thread length or coating. Treat those as purchasing details, not optional descriptions.
Socket screws and the surrounding assembly
Socket screws are used where the specified head and tool access suit the equipment or assembly. Compare cover clearance, counterbores or countersinks, mating material and screw engagement. For a special envelope, send the current drawing rather than selecting a different head by appearance.
Before you order
Does the hex-key size tell me the thread size?
No. Drive and thread are separate dimensions. Identify the screw by its full thread, head style and length.
Is a low-head screw equivalent to a standard cap screw?
Do not infer equivalence from matching thread and length. The head geometry and product requirements can differ.
Can Webson quote inch and metric socket screws?
Send the complete designation, quantity, grade and finish. Include the governing standard or drawing where required.

Include the full part number or standard designation, quantity, delivery date, head style, thread, length, material grade and finish. Add critical clearances and required documentation.
